Mobile Speech and Language Therapy
Flexible | Empowering | Family-Centered
In my speech and language therapy sessions, your child's curiosities and interests guide our activities. My role becomes flexibly incorporating our communication goals into whatever we're doing—whether that's crashing on couch cushions, building a pillow fort, making an obstacle course, or reenacting scenes from favorite videos. This unique approach makes communication more meaningful, and sessions more effective.
Family-Centered Speech Therapy
My goal is not only to work with your child but also to empower your entire family. Empowerment goes beyond building your knowledge and confidence; it requires a team approach where we learn, grow, and make decisions together. I believe each team member brings distinct and valuable knowledge to the table— families contribute insights on their child and family values, and I contribute expertise with communication, neurodiversity, and executive functioning. Together, we can facilitate meaningful change for your whole family.
We'll work together to determine what this team approach looks like for your family. Here are some examples:
Consultation: Caregivers and I set aside 5-10 minutes at the beginning or end of each session to focus on problem solving, reflecting on helpful strategies, processing any tough moments from the week, and planning for the week ahead.
Observation: Caregivers observe sessions while I narrate the strategies I'm using, explaining why I chose them and how the child responded.
Joint Interaction: Caregivers and I play together with the child, providing numerous opportunities to demonstrate and practice applying strategies in meaningful ways.
Caregiver Coaching: Caregivers take the lead in applying taught language-facilitating strategies, while I guide and provide feedback throughout. This is a powerful way to equip caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support their child's communication outside of sessions.
AAC Device Programming: I work alongside caregivers to program a child's AAC device, ensuring it includes all the vocabulary they need throughout their day.
I have experience providing therapy in all aspects of speech and language, with a focus in the following areas:
Comprehension
Understanding vocabulary, directions, questions, and stories
Expression
Finding the right words, formulating sentences, and organizing language
Echolalia / Scripting
Moving from producing language in "chunks" to self-generated language
Grammar & Syntax
Using word units (e.g., past tense with -ed) and arranging words in sentences
Play

Social Communication

Insurance and Payment:
To make my services as accessible as possible, I am “in-network” with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Mass General Brigham Health Plan. Of note, some of my services are not eligible for insurance reimbursement (e.g., parent meetings, consultative services). Any out-of-pocket expenses will be clearly communicated to your family.
If you are covered by a different insurance provider, my services will be private pay. Upon request, I can provide you with documentation (known as a "superbill") to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement will depend on your individual plan, so it is your responsibility to understand your coverage and obtain authorization for these services if needed. For more information on my private pay rates, please feel free to reach out here.
